The Hiatus Home #NavyRow
I often get asked what happens on hiatus. This is the time in my year when we are not taping and I focus on the business side of TWRS and spend tons of QT with my twins! This summer, I put the whole family to work after a visit to NYC where I got inspired. They say, "home is where the heart is...." and for me so much heart and soul went into our 1952 row home over the last few months. If you follow me on social (shameless plug: @Whitney_Reynolds or @whitneyreynolds) I've been referring to this project as the #NavyRow and this reno has literally taken over my hiatus. The good news is, DING* DING* DING… it's complete and time share!
We bought our dream home 2 years after we got married. We had no kids, but a vision for where we would raise them. We are huge city folks for several reasons, yet the main one being: trying something exciting, different & life changing (I am from Oklahoma and David is from Pittsburgh suburb). Also I am a firm believer that sometimes change starts with you and for us that's in this city and being in the thick of it.
Soon after we planted our roots in Chicago, we focused all our efforts on the inside. From the heated floors in our master bath to finishing the basement, we've checked off a lot. This summer however, after a trip to my old stomping grounds in NYC, I got inspired (I was an intern for Good Morning America circa 2007and lived in Brooklyn). After that visit I came home with ideas of "owning" the outside of our home. Staying true to it's 50's modern classic style and adding some color to our lives. Welcome to the NAVY ROW and our journey!
